George Leehan is an accomplished attorney who brings over a decade of practical experience working alongside business operators, executive officers, and boards of directors, building a deep foundation of real-world insight from the ground up.

Prior to his legal career, George worked at premier health systems—including Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. When he went on to law school, he capitalized on practical learning opportunities beyond the desk, serving as a judicial intern in the Boston court system, competing in the Tom C. Clark Appellate Advocacy Competition, and gaining valuable perspective when he co-authored a published piece in the Boston Bar Association’s Health Law Reporter collectively with the Co-Founder of the Center for Digital Health at MGH and a national law firm partner who advises entrepreneurial healthcare providers and technology companies. George also worked during law school as a law clerk at a highly reputable Boston law firm supporting M&A transactions and other corporate matters.

Following his completion of law school, George quickly pivoted to gaining invaluable legal work experience based out of the corporate headquarters of publicly traded and highly regulated global market leaders—including Santander Holdings USA, Inc. (Fortune Global 500 banking institution), American Tower Corporation (Fortune 500, S&P 500, and Forbes Global 2000 wireless infrastructure REIT), and Fresenius Medical Care (DAX 40 and Forbes Global 2000 healthcare leader)—his legal work progressed from serving as a trusted corporate, securities, and regulatory attorney, to managing a high-volume of commercial deals and directly supporting the CTO on key innovation initiatives, and then serving as a multi-regional Assistant General Counsel handling complex services agreements while advising operators through a wide-variety of sensitive operational and compliance risks.

George brings exceptional business acumen and practical deal-making perspective, and he puts that to work for GTX Legal clients.

George received his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School, a Master of Public Administration degree from Suffolk University Sawyer Business School, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is admitted to the Massachusetts bar.
